By accessing or using MAGELLAN (magellan-discover.ai), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

MAGELLAN is an open-source experiment in autonomous scientific discovery. It generates hypotheses, not validated discoveries. All outputs are speculative and require independent verification before any practical application.

Do not use MAGELLAN outputs for clinical decisions, safety-critical engineering, or any application where unvalidated hypotheses could cause harm.

You may create an account using a magic link sent to your email. You are responsible for maintaining access to your email address and for all activity under your account.

When you contribute discovery sessions or hypotheses through the MAGELLAN CLI or upload API:

• You retain ownership of your original inputs (prompts, configurations)
• AI-generated hypotheses are published under CC0 1.0 (Public Domain) — anyone may use, share, or build upon them without restriction
• You grant MAGELLAN a perpetual, non-exclusive license to display, index, and analyze your contributions on the platform
• Published contributions become part of the public scientific record and cannot be individually removed, though you may request removal of your personal attribution

Expert reviewer status is granted at our discretion. Reviews are published under the reviewer's name and are visible to all users. Reviewers must:

• Provide honest, evidence-based assessments
• Disclose relevant conflicts of interest
• Not use the platform to promote their own work inappropriately

You agree not to:

• Upload fabricated or intentionally misleading data
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits or authentication
• Scrape the platform at a rate that degrades service for others
• Impersonate other users or misrepresent affiliations
• Use the platform for spam, harassment, or illegal purposes

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

The MAGELLAN platform software is open source under the MIT License. The MAGELLAN name, logo (compass rose), and brand identity are trademarks of Kakashi Venture Accelerator Srl (Via Sant'Antonino 17b, Torino, Italy) and may not be used without permission.

MAGELLAN is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any hypothesis generated by the system. Hypotheses are AI-generated and have not been experimentally validated.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kakashi Venture Accelerator Srl and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of MAGELLAN, including but not limited to reliance on unvalidated hypotheses.

These terms are governed by the laws of Italy. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Turin, Italy.

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated on the website. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
